Lectors

The goal of this ministry is to proclaim God’s Word (through the readings) to the assembled community. Ministers of the Word (Readers) have the duty and the privilege of bringing the printed word of life.

How to Participate:

Members are Catholics who have an interest in the Sacred Scripture. They must have a good public speaking voice, good volume control, voice projection and good articulation. Ministers attend an initial training session where instructions, handouts, and practice sessions are given. Members attend occasional meetings and spend time preparing prior to reading at the Saturday Vigil Mass or one of the Sunday Masses.  For scheduling, contact Peggy Whitaker at 472-8595 or Smokey Stover at 883-4740.
